Service was super slow and just generally sucked. The out of town people next to us even commented that this place was never known for its speedy service. . Gf ordered a chicken sandwich featuring avocado and without any word of warning they brought her sandwich out missing the avocado. When questioned, they simply shrugged it off with barely an apology - no attempt to make amends or make the experience better. No water was delivered to the table. My silverware was taken away with the appetizer and not replenished. Its just truly a two-star experience and there are MUCH better places around to have a better meal and better experience. At least the burger was good.
"California Burger" (bbq chicken breast on fresh bun, with avocado and toppings) with fries or salad $14. Food was very good. Service was prompt and friendly. We sat on the patio , although inside seating looked very comfortable. Excellent value. Drinks were reasonable. Better than we expected.
Okay, so... based on prior reviews we thought it might stand a chance - the patio was nice so going in we had high hopes! I mean, looking from the outside it looked as though it was your typical bar type restaurant/diner. We entered the building and were confused as to whether or not to wait to be seated as there was no indication of whether or not to seat yourself. We asked two customers who did not have an answer, but upon asking them a waitress approached and seated us near the window! A great location by any means... unfortunately there were flies (at least 5) still alive that certainly wanted in on our meal.Pirogies and a buffalo chicken burger is what we ended up getting. The pirogies in themselves were a generous 8/10, but were covered in wet, sloppy vegetables that remained untouched throughout the meal. The "buffalo" chicken burger was simply a slice of chicken with Franks red hot sauce added to it, and by the time it had arrived the bottom bun was soaked through. The fries were the only redeeming factor in this presentation, and based on orders surrounding us it seemed that they might have missed a handful or two. All in all, 6/10 with the fries bringing the meal up 2 points.I will note that Tuesday is 2 for 1 theatre day, so I'm sure they were busier than usual. That being said, our waitress was a passive aggressive young lady (this could be due to the sheer volume of customers) who was kind, though you could tell she was ready to go home!Will not return.
Wow, I just had the Saturday Night Special, house smoked Brisket with a mustard sauce, beans, and fries, I tip my hat to Chef. Great portion tender and just the right amount of smoke. The only thing missing was an extra portion of sauce so I could drink it. Excellent.
Food was good but for the price of the entree, it should come with more. My wife ordered the ravioli, it came with 8 raviolis for $14.50. It could have came with at least a piece of garlic toast. A lot of mushrooms and sauce left on the plate. The salsa and sour cream that came with the nachos was not enough. One individual serving of each. Nice atmosphere but dought we will be back.
