Down right disgusting rooms. Very poor customer service. We booked this "Inn" as a last resort - everything else in the town was booked up as it's peak season for the festival. So we were banished (good word in this case) to the motor court section that's the oldest part of the place. As soon as we opened the door we were hit with a wall of damp, humid air that reeked of mold. Our room had no ventilation, and everything looked dated. We immediately went back to the front desk and were given another room - 2 doors down! Of course, the same issue. Our third time at the desk, we were moved to the "Ranch" style motor court (no luck with the main building which looked like it might be half-livable). The ancient-looking air conditioning unit in the hall outside our door had a "not in service" sign on it (never a good sign of what's to come). This time the room lacked the mold smell, but was still damp, humid and badly in need of a reno. It looked like we walked into a "horror at the motel" flick circa 1981, complete with rickety, spring mattress and decaying couch in the corner. At this point it was time for our show at the festival. We didn't even take our suitcases out of the car - and after the show, we promptly said "thanks but no thanks!" to the receptionist, checked out and drove the 3 hours home. You'd think he would ask if everything was all right or why we were checking out at 10pm, but no. It was worth the long drive to be back in our own beds.Note to the management: your "Inn" conditions are borderline a health hazard, and based on your motor court rooms, I'd expect to be paying by the hour and not the night. Please take the $150+ dollars I gave you to fix the A/C, pay someone to come in and check for the mold inevitably in your walls, install a vent - SOMETHING. You should be ashamed of charging anyone to stay here.Show less
Rooms definitely need updating. Climate control does not work. Insulting check in procedure. Room is charged a $50 fee at check-in to cover incidentals. this will be refunded a few days after checkout. this is insulting, and the rooms are no longer worth the $100 plus cost. I will not return, and I have stayed here many years while attending plays. Never again
Stayed in a room that was 1 queen bed (one of the more cost effective rooms) in mid September. The hotel itself is honestly good for the price. When you're trying to save money on a hotel this is a good option. The free breakfast had good gluten-free options alongside vegan/veg food (home fries, the toast, jam, tropical fruit, juice) but sadly no almond/soy milk :( The pool was alright. In need of updating but standards should never be high for hotel pools there was also a sauna, patio, and hot tub.Noise level between rooms is not bad, can't hear much which is good. The room we stayed in (queen & cheaper) was really cute. The bed was really comfortable, lots of channels on the tv, loved the cruelty free soap, and the shower was beautiful. The only problem was the room was quite humid for it not being that humid outside which made it difficult sleeping for some. Fridge (with freezer) and micro were available per request.Pets are allowed with an extra charge :) and there is a small gym as well.Front desk and housekeeping are super sweet and helpful! Thanks to Kayla for making our room so nice!Would definitely stay here again for the great price and good rooms (especially with the competing prices in stratford).
The room itself was dark but that wasn't the worst of it. We had an ant problem in our room. They were crawling all over the bathroom and the outer room walls. The hot water also wreaked of sulfur. It was hard not to gag. I don't recommend staying here.
Great location in a cute town. Check in was very quick and they happily accommodated late check in for us. The room was large and nicely furnished. Bathroom was okay but a little dated. Overall would recommend.
