Dined at the restaurant. Glad to have free parking in the back as it was a busy Saturday afternoon. The restaurant and service were great! The menu is interesting, lots of twists on classic dishes. I had the buttermilk fried chicken with the biscuit, potato salad, and mustard, and it was good but not great. $19 was a fair price. I'd come back but try something different.
I stayed at the Inn for one night while in Stratford to see some shows. I got to check in early which was greatly appreciated. I stayed in the king suite with fireplace (its summer so I didnt end up using it, would be lovely in the winter). The suite was very large and spacious, everything was clean and orderly, there was all the basic amenities (shampoo, soap, hair dryer etc.), there was plenty of towels which was really appreciated. The bed was comfy, there were soft pillows and firmer pillows provided on the bed. Over all I was really happy with my experience and the room, it was expensive but at peak season for the festival youre bound to pay a little more. I did find the room very dark as the main room had no overhead lighting. As for the restaurant, Ive visited quite a few times and Ive always enjoyed what Ive gotten. I also really appreciate the wine selection, I really only enjoy draft beer and they have a great selection of taps on offer.
The Mercer restaurant never fails to impress. The menu is as interesting as it is delicious. I've been eating here for the last few Festival seasons and it is always great. Be sure to try the Chicken Karaage!
Went with five coworkers and 2 locals. We were working in Stratford for a few days.Sat in the front at a big table. Beautiful decor, friendly service, had some drinks and ordered dinner. Waited over an hour for our meals. One of our party went to the kitchen to see what was taking so long. She went to the kitchen because the wait staff had now abandoned us with empty glasses, I assume because they were embarrassed that the meals were taking so long. The food was good, too pricey for what we got, but tasty and well plated. No apologies made for the wait.I wouldnt go back. Lots of great places to eat in Stratford besides this place.
The $1 jumbo wing deal on Thursdays is the best wing deal in town. The staff is also very friendly and the food great. I refuse to eat anywhere else on Thursdays.
