While we didn't find what we were searching for, the proprietor was super friendly and helpful in looking for us, including going through the trouble of searching his unsorted stock. Will 100& be recommending to my friends if they're looking for specific records or vinyls.
Now this is more like it. After visiting a highly disappointing shop on the main drag this little gem made my day. It may be small but it packs in some great indie releases and is one of only two shops that I’ve found that stock El Paraiso records, an incredible record label with bands hard to find in Canada. Excellent experience at Sound Fixation. I had a problem with a set of headphones and Trevor helped me out on the spot. My headphones were fixed, and I left satisfied. Top marks for customer service, and top marks for such a cool store: deep collection from classics to curios and everything in between. This shop is a go-to location for anyone with a record player :)
The owner is friendly and very knowledgeable, I bought my first turntable here and I've been loving it ever since! Huge selection and fair prices make this the best record shop in town.
Trevor cleaned up and reset to factory settings my vintage Sansui receiver with unbelievable results, the sound is superior to when I dropped it off and I now look forward to many years of listening pleasure. He also said the condition of the receiver was really good and didn't need any unnecessary recaps or updates. Even my wife noticed the clean clarity and the crisp highs that weren't there before the adjustments. Thanks Trevor, outstanding effort.
Fantastic record store, downtown Stratford Ontario. Lots of selection, and very responsive to ordering specific vinyl titles if you can't find in store!. Loving my latest Canadian artist albums! Must add that this store provides repair of sound equipment/record players. Always nice to have help with the older sound systems. Will be back soon!
